Volunteering at the Duang Prateep Foundation
The Duang Prateep Foundation works with numerous part time volunteers from the
local communities. There are also a few long term foreign volunteers assisting
with English and Japanese language contacts - correspondence, report and proposal
writing, public relations writing, talking to foreign visitors and the like.
The foundation occasionally welcomes other foreign volunteers for short-term engagements - usually for at least three months. Please be aware that the foundation appreciates the offers of voluntary assistance, but in many cases offers of help are declined as the foundation cannot handle large numbers of foreign volunteers.
If you would like to apply to be a foreign volunteer, please click here for details about what information the Duang Prateep Foundation requires from you.
All applications are considered, but due to the numerous applications received by the Duang Prateep Foundation, we cannot promise to reply to all rejected applications.
Volunteers should not anticipate receiving any financial compensation for their work at the Duang Prateep Foundation. It is possible that accommodation might be provided and lunch is provided every working day. If volunteering at the New Life Projects at Kanchanaburi and Chumphon, full board is provided.
Student internships and research at the Duang Prateep Foundation
The situation for students seeking work experience or wanting to carry out research as part of their study programme, is similar to the situation for foreign volunteers, see above. At the Duang Prateep Foundation, we receive more applications than we can possibly cope with.

Students wanting to make brief visits to the Duang Prateep Foundation as part of their research programme can make arrangements on a similar basis to those outlined in the 'Visiting the Duang Prateep Foundation' section above.
If requirements go beyond a two-hour visit to the Foundation,
students should click here and provide the information required.
Students carrying out research or doing an internship at the Duang Prateep Foundation
should anticipate paying for any services provided by the Duang Prateep Foundation,
beyond a two-hour visit. The fees will depend on the type of service provided.
