Celebrating Philippine Nationhood

As a Thai national who has been formally honored in the Philippines, Khru Prateep, along with her husband Dr. Tatsuya Hata, was recently invited by the Philippine ambassador to join the 127th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence and Nationhood. In 1978, Prateep was awarded the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service from the Philippines, using the entire prize fund to establish the Duang Prateep Foundation.
