Homes Lost in Slum Fire, Help Desperately Needed

As the residents of Nong Mai Community slept soundly just prior to 2 am on 25 July, a fire broke out among the densely packed houses. The DPF volunteer firefighters responded immediately and worked to extinguish the flames, but five homes were lost and another seven were damaged. In the morning, Khru Prateep went to inspect the situation and to assist affected residents, who were temporarily housed in a sports ground pavilion.
