KPMG’s 7th Annual Scholarship Day
Friday, May 8 was ‘Scholarship Day’ for KPMG (Thailand) Ltd. at the Klong Toey community. CEO Mr. Charoen Phosamritlert led his staff members to present scholarships to 166 of our students, from kindergarten to university level. This the seventh year of scholarship support for poor students from the company, which is part of their CSR program to take an active and positive social role in the society around them. The event opened with a video of the activities of KPMG and students on previous visits, followed by a welcome performance by some members of the Immanuel Orchestra and some Thai boxing performances. DPF chairperson, Prof. Sant Hathirat, welcomed our guests, and Khru Prateep informed the gathering of the results of KPMG Educational Sponsorship Program in the previous year. Mr. Charoen congratulated the graduated students and all students who receive a scholarship from KPMG. A representative scholarship recipient then spoke words of thanks and appreciation to KPMG for its understanding of the situation and its generous support. We look forward to a long-term collaboration with this forward-looking, socially responsible company.
